Myth #1. All moving companies are the same.
The service you pay for can vary from moving company to moving company. Pricing, quality of service, availability, and experience level are only a few ways moving companies differ.
You don't want to hire local movers to do a relocation across the country. Similarly, hiring inexperienced movers will cost you a lot more than you have allocated.

Myth #2: Weekends are the Best Time to Move
Many believe that if you start the move on Friday, you'll get plenty of time to pack, move and unpack over the weekend. Check with your moving company to see if they offer boxes and other moving supplies. By using supplies designed for moving, you can pack your stuff knowing it will be more secure during the move.
Myth #4: Something Always Breaks or Goes Missing
It's not standard practice for professional movers to lose or damage your stuff during transit. Unfortunately, many customers are plagued with worry whenever they move because they think that things always go missing or break.
When you get a professional moving company with a certified moving process, you won't have to worry as much. All in all, accidents can happen, so make sure to ask about the company's coverage options. You can also contact your home insurance company to ensure you have adequate protection and peace of mind.
You can also go a step further and label all fragile items and notify your moving crew ahead of time of items that will require special handling.
Myth #5: All Moves are Messy
Everyone believes that the move and transition to a new place will be outright chaotic. No matter how far ahead in time you plan, you always expect moving to be a mess. Moving anxiety is mainly due to fear of change and lack of organization.
However, a mess-free relocation is not impossible to achieve with a little effort and teamwork. With able professional movers by your side, the most you have to do is label your boxes, categorize items and inform the crew which is a priority item, and which can wait.
